I am not sure if the hoary-backport really works. I can't confirm since i switched to breezy. If it doesn't I would advise you to use apt_preferences.

  • Add breezy to your sources.list
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy main restricted universe
  • Add a preferences file to prioritize breezy
Explanation: === Use packages from breezy
Package: *
Pin: release a=breezy
Pin-Priority: 700
  • Run "apt-get update" and install mono and beagle
  • Change preferences file to use hoary again:
Explanation: === Don't use packages from breezy, unless requested
Package: *
Pin: release a=breezy
Pin-Priority: 1

Updated Wiki

I've updated the Wiki with more comprehensive instructions. Tested and tried on two Hoary machines. Hope this is OK with your Mario!

I'm adding more bits to the Wiki on Firefox and other extenstions!

Evolution addressbook instructions

I've removed the following line:

cd /usr/lib && sudo ln -s libebook-1.2.so.3 libebook-1.2.so.0

from the instructions. This isn't a safe change to make; it might work in the narrow case, but it will likely break other applications. The right way is to update the evolution-data-server and/or libevolution-cil packages.

I've also updated the formatting a bit to be more consistent with other pages.
